I have just released Shipwrecked which is Book 1 in the Shipwrecked/Climb to the Top Collection Series.

As you may recall, I had Demitry create a cover for the Shipwrecked/Climb to the Top collection series several years ago.

But I have decided to release each book separately, which means I’m going to need a different cover for each book.  So, since I can’t afford to have Dimitry to make new covers for the additional books,  I decided to do them myself and here is the new cover for Book 1: Shipwrecked.

I don’t plan to create a new cover for Climb to the Top Book 3, though.

As you know, I have my eBooks at both Amazon for Kindle editions and Smashwords for all eReader formats. 

Each year during July, Smashwords has a “July Summer/Winter Book Sale” where authors can list their eBooks at a discounted price, or just to add them to the promotion to sell them at regular price, if they prefer.

This year, I have added all of my “Adult” eBooks to the list for 1/2 price—except for the ones I have already listed at .99.  Those are listed, but are still .99.

Revisit the Shipwrecked Series from Brad’s Point of View.

I have posted the covers of the Shipwrecked/Climb to the Top/The Chronicles of Brad, Collection Series on the front page of my website.  I am considering doing something different with The Chronicles of Brad cover (picture to the left) , but the picture of Brad will be the same, just a different background.  I had created one some time ago with him on the beach, but forgot about it until the other day when I stumbled across it.  Might revisit that one before publishing the series.  I am still working on the collection. I spend Tuesday evening at my critique group meeting then we go to a 24-hour coffee shop and visit with other writers.  Then on Wednesday morning some of us meet at another coffee shop and write for a couple of hours, so I am getting a lot done.

I haven’t found a job, yet.  I have applied for several, but haven’t heard anything.  I am really hoping I don’t have to return to the hotel/motel business, but am getting concerned about running out of unemployment benefits before I find a job, so I might have to break down and see if there are any night audit positions available.

I hope you’re having a good spring.  Here we’ve had several days over the century mark and hardly any rain, so we’re back in a drought. Summer, of course, will be here Thursday, the 21st, so since it’s already been a hot Spring, I’m concerned about how hot Summer will be this year.  We’ve had a few days already where the electricity has gone off in parts of the city for a few hours.

Hope it’s cool where you are and you have a good Summer. I’ll keep you informed on the progress of The Chronicles of Brad.

Finally…

I managed to figure out what I needed to do to get this template to work.  It’s not doing what I had planned for it to and I couldn’t get any support because I am not paying for the template, so I found a work-a-round.

Website Update

By now you have probably been overwhelmed with notifications about everyone’s Privacy Policy having been updated in the last few days due to the GDPR that will be going into effect May 25th.

Therefore, since I have a website that “collects” information from visitors if you want to contact me or subscribe to my notification list, I need to be compliant.

I finally had a chance to get “A New Town” updated and uploaded to Kindle, I’m not sure how I missed publishing it there back in 2011 when I published all my stories. I also discovered that I am a much better writer now than I was in 2011, so there was quite a bit of polishing to do. If you got a copy from Smashwords, you should have received an update notice because I submitted the update there, also. That update will be free if you’ve already gotten a copy of it there.

In my last post I said I haven’t found a job yet, but I never posted that my job ended in December of 2017. It was working for a temporary agency and the job ended. I still haven’t found another job, but I am getting unemployment and am searching for something. I am holding out for a job with benifits this time.

I am also working frantically on the Shipwrecked/Climb to the Top Collection Series and The Chronicles of Brad. My goal is to have them released on October 14, 2018, which will be Kris and Brad’s 24th Anniversary.

If you heard on the news about the shooting in Santa Fe, Texas yesterday, and were wondering where that is in relationship to me, it is down on the gulf coast by Galveston. It’s about 550 miles South East of here, but I am praying for the friends and families of the victims.

New Covers

I have been using Adobe PhotoShop for some time now and have enjoyed learning how to use it. I admit there is a learning curve and sometimes I watch online tutorials and when the instructor clicks on something, I *know* I am clicking the same thing, but it doesn’t work for me.

Since I published my older stories in 2011, several of the covers need to be updated. And now that I have PhotoShop and am getting better at using it, I have just updated the covers for “Blizzard” and “Cold As Ice.”

I have decided not to raise the price of “Cold As Ice” back up to the price it was previously. If you don’t have a copy, you can get “Cold as Ice”here.

I am also lowering the price of “Blizzard” and you can get a copy of it here if you don’t have it already.

I will be updating several of the covers in the future, so don’t be surprised if you get an update message from either Smashwords or Kindle. I’m anxious to try to get a box set image made for The Halloween Night/The Golden Locket Collection Series. I haven’t made a box set image before but did get some templates for them.

I still haven’t found a job, but am looking and am working on The Chronicles of Brad, which is the finale of The Shipwrecked/Climb to the Top Collection Series. I’ll need to make a box set image for it, too.

Re-release of “The House on Willow Creek Lane”

I have just released “The House on Willow Creek Lane” 3rd Edition.

I have decided that due to the length of “Birthday Surprise”, “Weekend”, “Just Another Day at the Office”, and “A Week’s Vacation”, I’m going to retire them for now. I may go back and redo them later, but right now I’m starting to concentrate on getting the “Shipwrecked/Climb to the Top” series redone and published.

Release of “Cabin By the Lake”

I have just released “The Cabin By the Lake”. I’ve also updated my website with links to the Amazon Kindle and the Smashwords versions. Although you can get the Kindle Version at Smashwords.

Since my publisher returned the “Birthday Suprise”, “Weekend”, Just Another Day at the Office”, “A Week’s Vacation” and “The House on Willow Creek Lane” to me, I’m going to update them and get them re-released soon. She put all of them except “The House on Willow Creek Lane” in a collection, but I’m going to break them out as individual stories and re-release them as 3rd Editions.
I’ll let you know when they are released.
