As you may recall, reader, I had an X-Ray and MRI done back in 2010 due to a whiplash I received in a wreck in 1991 and another one in 1996, then when I moved to Lubbock in 2009, I bent over to pick up something out of a box, and it felt like someone stabbed me in the right shoulder blade. I did go to the Texas Back Institute in 2010 and they said it was just arthritis and there was nothing they could do for me. Due to the weather the last couple of months, my back has really been bothering me, so Dr. Thomas ordered X-Rays. After comparing them with the X-Rays and MRI taken in 2010, he ordered an MRI—I wasn't able to get it until Tuesday. I got there and he had prescribed some anxiety medicine—because I can't lay on my back and the MRI requires laying on my back for 30 minutes. I got there and laid down and my body said, "Get up, NOW!" Even with a pillow under my neck and a wedge under my knees, I couldn't lay there more than 15 seconds. The machine operator told me that I could have Dr. Thomas order an Anesthesia MRI and I'd have it done at the hospital. He was at a clinic and the MRI was in a Mobil Unit. Dr. Thomas was off this week, but I had the person who answered the phone send him a message. I will let you know when I get the MRI done and the results. I'm not expecting to have back surgery, but am hoping I'll be able to get on disability—even though I know it's a pain to get on.

This past weekend I attended a "Writing Sprint", and was able to get a couple of chapters written, even though I did have to keep getting up and walking around. I am hoping that I will be able to continue with them and get this book written soon..
