I had never heard of—or don't remember—Disability Pride Month, until earlier this month when my daughter, who is now disabled because she had bacteria in the bones in her foot, and had to have it partially amputated, told me about it. She actually thought it was the month of June, but I knew June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, and didn't think they would over-lap, so I checked and Disability Pride Month is the month of July. Here's what Wikipedia says about it. She has a prosthesis and is doing fine with it.
