I'm still helping my friend—and previous boss—by posting her items on Facebook Marketplace for sale. We aren't getting as many "scammers" lately, but now we're getting people who say they want something, then stop responding and don't show up. So we're still not getting many sales and not getting rid of stuff.

November is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). As I did last year, I'm not participating in it to make the 50,000 word novel, but I am able to go to a local grocery store that has a deli/coffee shop area and write for a couple of hours until my body tells me to "get out of this chair...NOW!" And on Monday evenings I joined other writers at a restaurant to write for a couple of hours. I am making progress. Even though that's over, my cousin and I are going to keep meeting places to write. She's still plotting her novel (a murder mystery) but hasn't started writing it yet.

Although NaNoWriMo is 50,000 words, I've already got 140k+ words in Hot-Rod Magazine. I've started on Chapter 52, but there's no end in sight. I gave the first part of it to someone who is going through it for me, which is why I haven't been sending out chapters lately.

I had hope to have the first draft finished by the end of November, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Then I'll go through it and make her suggested changes. So, I now hope to have it done by Christmas, and be able to get it published next year sometime. Until then, I'll just say "I'm GOING to have it published by the end of this millennium." 😁

Yesterday, our high was in the 70s, but today's high is supposed to just be 49. Hope you're staying warm where you are.
