Hi, reader,
If you are in the United States, I hope you have a happy Memorial Day weekend, reader. If you live elsewhere, I hope you have a great weekend.
What do you think about AI, ?

I've been seeing it all over the place lately. YouTube has an AGT (America's Got Talant) AI channel that several viewers haven't figured out that it's AI. The videos are VERY Wild, to say the least. It would be cool if people could actually do what the videos show them doing. On Facebook, there's even some where babys talk to dogs, and the dog talks back. You know it's AI because you can actually read the baby's lips an they're moving insynce with the words you hear.

If you've visited my website and read my Blog lately, you know I've used AI for some articles refering to past "Holidays," and it actaully hit the nail on the head for them.
I'm thinking about my next novel being, "The Corpse in the Cemetery," and I had AI generate an imge of a large guy wearing a trench coat laying across a split double tumbstone.
Corpse generated by Meta AI
As you can see, he has three arms, and what's supposed to be his right hand is a left hand. Of course, I created this early on with Facebook Messenger's AI Meta, so AI may be able to do a better job now.
So I tried Microsoft CoPilot and this is what it did:
At least it looks better then the one ChatGPT created. But I like the tombstone in the ChatGPT image better.

Someone posted on a sample of their cover on a Facebook group and the woman had two thumbs. I didn't save it.
Amazon is cracking down on people who creat books written by AI, but I attended an AI webinar the other day. The guy was selling "Templates" that were supposed to "help" you write your novel "in your voice." I didn't get to stick around for the entire webinar, but recieved the replay, but I haven't had a chance to watch the rest of it. A friend did, and he purchased the template. He sent it to me and I didn't change anything ecept my name, and ran it through the first part of "Hot-Rod Magazine." Click here to read what it did to it.

Don't worry, I'm NOT going to be using AI for any of my writing.

reader, please let me know what you think about it by replying to this email.
For the past 17 years (in July) Smashwords has had their "Winter/Summer Sale" for the whole month of July. Then in December they have their "End of the Year, Sale". I am getting close to the end of the first draft of "Hot-Rod Magazine" and, although it'll be pushing it to have it done and released by July 1st I hope to get it published by the sale in December.
In "Hot-Rod Magazine" Quinn references hot-rodmag.com. I recently moved my hosting service to Hostinger, and they've offered a "free" domain, so I created hot-rodmag.com yesterday, and it directs people to sign up for my newsletter, and to my stories on my website, mathisbrogers.com. I think I have read stories online where authors mention websites in their story and when I enter it, it doesn't exist. I'm not going to be "one of those" authors.

I had their webbuilder create the site with AI, and it added a whole bunch of cars. As you know, , this book doesn't have anything to do with cars.
Hot-Rod Magazine
A friend from my Critique Group is still going through Hot-Rod Magazine for me.

I am almost finished with Chapter 58. There is an end in sight.
Thank you for being a patient and valued reader, reader, I will let you know when I finish Hot-Rod Magazine.
