If you are in the United States, I hope you haven't had any of the bad weather we've experianced lately.

You may have heard we had a really bad windstorm Friday. We had wind-gusts up to 82 miles per hour in Lubbock. The airport cancelled all flights in and out of Lubbock until later in the day and there were several wrecks due to the wind.

My electicity didn't go off, but there's a 24/7 Walgreens about 6 blocks from me. A light pole blew over (pictured), and the electricty was off for Walgreens, so it closed. Several places here in Lubbock did lose power.

I needed to go get a friend and take her to Best Buy to have them look at her laptop. We are having trouble with the power button. She's 82 and weighs about 100 pounds, so I stayed home because she didn't need to be out in the wind and blow away. She doesn't drive anymore, so I didn't have to worry about her trying to go by herself. I'll take her to get it repaired Friday.
