jobhunt
Hi, reader,
I hope you are doing well. I accepted the call center position at a local hospital and arrived this morning at 4:45.

The three block walk was hard on my foot. Then the security guard took me to the call center, and that was another three block (at least) walk.

The call center is a small room, with four stations. I expected the call center to be cold—after all, it’s a hospital, so I layered—which is good because it was 18° Fahrenheit outside. But it was actually hot in there, so I was able to unlayer and had on a short sleeve shirt, but it was still hot. But they require a mask at all times. While sitting there, my back problem (arthritis) kicked in, and I had to stand up. But due to the heat and the mask, I couldn’t breathe and my body was saying, “get out”. Then she told me that since they’re short handed, we’d actually be delivering meals also. As big as Covenant Hospital is there's no way I could do that with my foot problem.

So, I obviously can not work in the hospital or anywhere I'll have to wear a mask all day or a job where I have to do a lot of walking.

I am still working on Hot-Rod Magazine.

I'll keep you informed about the job hunt.
