Hi, reader,
I hope you have a good weekend. Remember, Jesus died on the cross for you.
We had a great turnout at the Lubbock Art's Festival last weekend.

Job Update

I am working as the receptionist at Action Glass and Mirror. I talked to the owner, and she said that when we move to the shop behind their house they will take me with them. So it looks like I have a permanent job.
You may have heard on the news there are still several wildfires in Texas, reader. This week they have hit closer to home. Here are news stories from our local CBS Affiliate, KLBK.

The Premier Equestrian Center Fire is on the other side of town from where I live.

As you may remember, I used to live in Plainvew, I only lived a about a mile from the Plainview Airport, and a few miles from Hillcrest Elementarywhich had to be evacuated.

I graduated from Whiteface High School, which is 15 miles from Levelland. Levelland is about 52 miles from Lubbock, and Levelland had to evacuate due to wildfires.

And, what used to be Reese Airforce Base here in Lubbock—now Reese Center—also had to be evacuated due to wildfires. Reese Center is also across town from where I live and work.

Although the fires are currently out around here, we are still in a drought and are in desperate need of rain.
I am feeling better and do have more time to write now, so I will let you know when I release Hot-Rod Magazine.
Have you filled out my survey, What's your favorite book? reader?
