Happy Spring!

I hope you are doing well and enjoying the first day of Spring.

You may have heard on the news there are several wild fires in Texas. Here in Lubbock, we've had blowing dust the last several days, but no fires—and, fire watch warnings are all around us. However, there is currently a wild fire between Lockney and Floydada (pronounced floy day da) which is about 58 miles north east of Lubbock. Found a job—Sorta...

Friends from church own a glass and mirror repair business. Their receptionist got sick last month and was out for a while. I posted on my Facebook page that I am looking for a job, and the owner replied for me to call her the next day. I called and she had me come fill in for the receptionist a few days week before last, and all last week.

The receptionist, also a friend of mine from church, came in to get her check Friday, and told me that I'd be number one and she'll be my back up.

The reason I said "sorta" is because today the owner told me they were moving into a shop behind their house and later, her husband came in and basically said they're closing the shop and it didn't sound like he would really be doing anything after they move. So, I'm not sure how long I'll actually be working there. He also keeps wanting to go home early, and he has to take his wife with him because she had a motorcycle wreck a few years ago and can't drive. I offered to take her home, but she said they live too far out.

I am still working on Hot-Rod Magazine.

I'll keep you updated on the job situation and will let you know when I release Hot-Rod Magazine.
