D2D (for publishing our eBooks,) sent this message to all Smashwords authors on June 24, 2024:

We [D2D] received notification from our retail partner Libri GmbH ("Libri"), who shows up on the D2D dashboard as Tolino, that the German retailer Weltbild GmbH & Co. KG has filed for insolvency [bankruptcy]. Libri has also informed us that Weltbild is in default of its May payment and as such has had its ebook distribution rights withdrawn.
Weltbild is one store among Tolino’s expansive European network. Tolino is a German consortium whose retail reach spreads across four countries and includes over 1,000 retail stores in Germany alone and hundreds of stores in other countries. Your ebook distribution to other retailers in the Tolino network will continue uninterrupted.

eBooks by Truman Dayon Godwin are also on sale. Truman was a client of mine. He died December 4, 2020. His wife, Nancy, didn't want anything to do with his books, so she authorized me to continue selling them, and I get the royalties.
